LOCATION
St. Lucia is part of the windward island chain located in the Eastern Caribbean. Martinique is its neighbor to the north, and St. Vincent its neighbor to the south.

SIZE
St. Lucia is approximately 27 miles long and 14 miles wide at its widest point.

PEOPLE
The island has over 160,000 residents. St. Lucia's capital, Castries, and its suburbs have a population of over 80,000 residents.

COMMERCE
Ninety percent of the hotels and major developments lie between Castries and the most northern point, Cap Estate. Most business is done in Castries.

SHOPPING
Most shopping is done is Castries. There are two duty-free centers there that feature world-class jewelers, clothing stores, perfume, and gift centers.

HOSPITALS
There are three hospitals on the island: Two in Castries, and one in Vieux Fort.

SLAPS: St. Lucia Animal Protection Society
C&I Vacations makes a donation to the St. Lucia Animal Protection Society with every St. Lucia vacation package sold. This organization provides medical attention, food and shelter for abandoned and neglected dogs, cats, and donkeys. We are very thankful that we can assist this needy organization.
